With the participation of 350 investors.. the launch of the Syrian "Enterprise Market" platform in Dubai

Last  night, the city of Dubai witnessed a  remarkable economic event that brought together more than 350 Syrian entrepreneurs and investors residing in the UAE, in the official presence of the Chairman of the Syrian Investment Commission, Talal Al-Hilali.

The event was  initiated by entrepreneurs Ghaith Abidi and Anas Al-Janani, with the aim of creating a non-traditional professional networking platform that aims to integrate Syrian experiences gained in regional markets with investment opportunities available inside Syria.

Launching the "Enterprise Market" and supporting startups

The event was marked by the launch of the "Enterprise Market" platform, which showcased 13 Syrian startups in front of a panel of investors and experts.

The participants were divided into specialized groups that discussed the current economic challenges and the mechanisms of technology transfer and business management to the Syrian market.

Outstanding projects with the highest rating were also recognized, providing direct opportunities for collaboration and funding away from traditional bureaucratic frameworks.

Investment Authority's Vision: Expatriates are Partners in Development

In a statement to SANA, Talal al-Hilali, head of the Syrian Investment Commission, stressed that Syrian competencies abroad represent a "real lever" for the national economy, given that they have a dual understanding of the requirements of the local market and international labor standards.

Al-Hilali pointed out that the Authority is working hard to create the legislative environment and provide the necessary facilities to attract these investments, considering that such meetings represent a starting point for building productive partnerships that contribute to the efforts of economic recovery.

From a youth idea to a strategic platform

For his part, entrepreneur Ghaith Abidi explained that the initiative started as a simple idea aimed at breaking the professional isolation among Syrian competencies in the diaspora, but the large turnout reflected a real need for an umbrella that brings together entrepreneurs.

"Supporting major Syrian companies in the UAE was the main pillar for the success of the event, which proves the strength and cohesion of the Syrian society and its ability to influence regionally and contribute effectively to supporting the national economy through innovative professional and community initiatives," said Abidi.
