UAE denies visit of Netanyahu and Israeli delegation to Abu Dhabi

The UAE Foreign Ministry denied "what is being circulated about the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or the reception of an Israeli military delegation."

The ministry said in a statement issued late last night that the UAE's "relationship with Israel is a public relationship that was established within the framework of the well-known and declared Abraham Accords and is not based on secrecy or hidden arrangements."

"Any allegations of unannounced visits or arrangements are baseless unless they are issued by the competent official authorities in the UAE," the ministry said.

She called on the media to investigate accuracy and not to circulate undocumented information or use it to create political impressions.

Netanyahu's office confirms visit

Earlier, Netanyahu's office stated that "in the midst of Operation Visiting Assad, Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he met with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed," adding that the visit resulted in a historic breakthrough in the relationship between the two countries.

The Israeli newspaper "Maariv" quoted  the prime minister's office as saying that "this visit resulted in a historic breakthrough in relations between Tel Aviv and Abu Dhabi," and the close cooperation between them has become a qualitative leap in relations.

Earlier, the Hebrew "Channel 12" said that the meeting came against the background of the occupation's assessments that suggest the possibility of resuming the war with Iran, in addition to the attacks that the UAE was subjected to during the recent war.

An American newspaper talks about two visits of the head of the Mossad to Abu Dhabi

An Israeli report revealed simultaneous visits by Israeli security officials, including Shin Bet chief David Zinni and Defense Ministry Director General Amir Baram, to hold meetings with Emirati officials as part of preparations for a joint attack with Washington against Iran.

The  Wall Street Journal also reported  that Mossad chief David Barnea visited Abu Dhabi at least twice to coordinate intelligence operations.

The report indicated that Israel sent "Iron Dome" batteries to the UAE to help it counter Iranian attacks, while sources talked about Abu Dhabi's participation in secret military operations against Iran, including targeting an oil refinery on Lavan Island, without an official Emirati announcement about the operation.

In return, Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting the UAE before a ceasefire was reached.
