Two Israeli soldiers wounded by a booby-trapped drone in southern Lebanon
The Israeli army admitted on Tuesday (April 28) that two soldiers were injured after a booby-trapped drone exploded during battles in southern Lebanon.
"One soldier was seriously wounded, and another soldier was lightly wounded, yesterday (Monday), as a result of the fall of a booby-trapped drone during a military operation in southern Lebanon," the army said in a statement.
The army considered the incident "a violation of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah", as it continues to carry out aerial and artillery bombardments, and blowing up buildings and facilities in various areas of southern Lebanon and in the Bekaa region in the east.
These figures come without the availability of independent reports on the number of casualties in the Israeli army, as Tel Aviv imposes strict control and a great obfuscation of its real losses due to Hezbollah's attacks, which suggests that the toll may be higher than the announced figures.
In another incident, the Israeli army claimed in a statement that it had intercepted "a suspicious aerial target, which was spotted in the area where IDF forces operate in southern Lebanon," pointing out that the results of the interception are "under examination."
In a separate statement, the Israeli army acknowledged carrying out intensive attacks on southern Lebanon, claiming that it had "destroyed more than 1,000 Hezbollah infrastructure, including booby-trapped buildings and buildings inside which weapons were found," without specifying the time period.
Israel threatens to evacuate 16 villages in southern Lebanon despite ceasefire

On Tuesday, the Israeli army warned the residents of 16 villages in southern Lebanon to evacuate them immediately and head towards the Sidon area.
IDF spokesman Avichai Adrei said in a post on the "X" platform that the army warns the residents of 16 villages and towns in southern Lebanon to evacuate them, before attacking them, indicating that the villages and towns are "Al-Ghandouriya, Bourj Qalawiya, Qalawiya, Al-Sawaneh, Al-Jumeijma, Safed Al-Batikh, Bara'ashit, Chakra, Aita Al-Jabal, Tibnin, Al-Sultaniya, Bir Al-Sanasel, Dunin, Khirbet Salem, Sala, and Deir Kiva."
The Israeli official added: "You must evacuate your homes immediately and move away from the designated area towards the Saida district," and according to a map published by the spokesman, the villages in question are located south of the Litani River.
Adrei claimed that this warning comes "in light of Hizbullah's violation of the ceasefire agreement, which forces the army to act strongly against it."
