Trump Threatens Iranians Again: We Will Not Allow Tehran to Have a Nuclear Weapon

US President Donald Trump said that retaliatory strikes against Iranian targets are only a light slap, stressing that the ceasefire still stands.

In a post on the Truth Social platform, Trump explained that three world-class American destroyers successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz under fire, indicating that they did not suffer any damage, while the Iranian attackers suffered significant damage.

Trump added that the small boats used by the Iranian attackers to compensate for their naval fleet were completely paralyzed.

He pointed out that drones approached the US destroyers and were destroyed while they were still in the air, explaining that missiles were fired towards our destroyers but we shot them down quite easily.

He stressed that any natural country would have allowed the passage of these destroyers, but Iran is not a natural country and it is ruled by crazy people,  and continued, "If the Iranians had the opportunity to use a nuclear weapon, they would have done so without the slightest hesitation, but they will not have that opportunity."

"Just as we crushed the Iranians today, we will crush them with more force and more violence in the future, unless they sign the deal quickly," Trump threatened.

In statements to Reuters, Trump said that it is not possible for Iran to get a nuclear weapon, noting that the ceasefire is still in place and the United States is currently negotiating with the Iranians, claiming that "the Iranians have already reached the end of the road and we will not give them the right to have a nuclear weapon."

He pointed out that Iran "messed with us today and we eliminated them, and I describe what happened as absurdity," noting that "the agreement with Iran may happen on any day or it may not happen, and the Iranians want it more than me."

Washington talks about the goals of its recent strikes on Iran

The Wall Street Journal, citing a US official, revealed that the strikes on Iran targeted sites for launching drones, cruise missiles and radar stations.

The official explained that the US attacks targeted sites on Qeshm Island and Bandar Abbas in addition to other military sites, noting that Iran has launched missiles and drones and carried out small boat attacks against US warships.

Iranian official calls for change of negotiating team with Washington

Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian, a member of the National Security Committee of the Iranian parliament, has called for a change in Iran's negotiating team with the United States.

In a post on the X platform, Nabavian criticized the U.S., mocking a writer for the Iranian Foreign Ministry's negotiating team: "Despite the shameful history of the United States, especially the presence of the owners of the humiliating agreement with Qalibaf in the negotiations, there is no hope for a positive agreement for Iran."

"It is necessary to exclude the parties to the completely destructive JCPOA from the negotiating team," he stressed. Recently, Iranian media reported that there were calls to remove Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi from the negotiating delegation.

Earlier, Nabavian wrote another post on X in which he hinted at the pursuit of U.S. dictates by some Iranian officials and politicians whom he called "cowards."

"Those who are not in line with the Iranian people are seeking false statistics to capitulate Iran and save the U.S. government from the quagmire of failure," Nabavian said, calling on the Iranian judiciary to deal strictly with these problematic individuals, threatening to reveal their names.
