Trump praises: Al-Sharia is doing  a "very good" job and Syria is fixing its situation quickly

U.S. President Donald Trump praised the Syrian leadership for its efforts to restore stability, saying that "Syria is doing a very good job of fixing its situation."

In an interview with  NBC News broadcast on Sunday, Trump described  President Ahmed al-Shara as having done a "good" job in a short period of time  and as a "very good leader" and willing to help with regional security efforts.

Trump hinted at the possibility that Syria could play a role in facilitating more "precise" strikes against Hezbollah, saying he wanted a "better life" for the Lebanese people and that Israel should make its strikes against Hezbollah more precise and surgical to avoid widespread destruction.

Syria did not immediately comment  on Trump's proposal.

As for the relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Trump stressed that the understanding between them is "very excellent," despite acknowledging the existence of differences and reprimanding Netanyahu a few days ago over the conduct of military operations in Lebanon.

Israeli aggression on the  southern suburbs of Beirut

The Israeli army carried out  a new aggression, the first in weeks, on Sunday, targeting what it claims are Hezbollah headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Lebanese media reported that Israeli airstrikes targeted several locations in the southern suburbs in the afternoon, without giving further details.

"Based on the directives of Benjamin Netanyahu and Katz, the IDF has now launched raids on headquarters of Hezbollah elements in the southern suburbs of Beirut," the IDF said in a statement.

The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Israel informed the US administration of the attack on the Al-Mureijah area in the southern suburbs before it was carried out, adding that the operations room targeted by the army in the suburb was "empty."

In  addition, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted  Israeli ministers as saying that Israel controls 20% of Lebanon's territory and that the army has begun to establish a new line of military positions in southern Lebanon, confirming that about 1,000 Hezbollah members have been killed and that the party has fired 2,000 rockets and shells.

Iran Threatens

"We will respond decisively and painfully to the entity's attack on the suburb, and this rabid dog must be disciplined and returned to its place," Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the National Security Committee of the Iranian parliament, said in a statement on Sunday, June 7, adding, "Watch the skies of the occupied territories tonight."

In addition, the  Speaker of Iran's Shura Council, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, said in a post on the X platform that the United States and Israel "do not respect the ceasefire, do not believe in dialogue, and through the naval blockade (on Iran) and the violation of agreements on Lebanon, they have shown that they only understand the language of force."

"The naval blockade imposed on Iran, and the green light that the United States has given to the Zionist regime today (to attack Dahiyya), "make the bases and positions of the United States and the (Israeli) regime in the region legitimate targets. Our armed forces, as always, are ready."
