The war on Lebanon. Israel warns of new evacuations in the south

On Wednesday, the Israeli occupation forces issued an urgent warning to the residents of the areas south of the Zahrani River in Lebanon.

The occupation forces called on the residents to evacuate their homes and immediately head north, claiming that its attacks target the area where Hezbollah elements are present, which threatens to expand the area of field operations amid a new movement of displacement of the people under threat.

On the ground, Hizbullah announced in an official statement that gatherings of occupation vehicles and soldiers in the city of Khiam were targeted with rocket launches at dawn on Wednesday.

The party stressed that this action comes "in defense of Lebanon and in response to the repeated attacks and the enemy's violation of the ceasefire agreement," stressing that the resistance operations will continue as long as the occupation does not commit to stopping its aggression.

                          Casualties in the Qadmous raids

In the context of the Israeli raids, the Lebanese Civil Defense  teams and the "Al-Risala Scouts for Health Ambulance" were able to recover the bodies of four martyrs and withdraw three wounded following a raid that targeted the "Al-Khadra" complex in the Qadmous area (Tyre district).

The strike is part of a series of violations on the ground that threaten the stability of the previously announced fragile truce.

Heavy toll in Gaza and UN warnings

In the Gaza Strip, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip  announced that the death toll from the ongoing aggression since October 2023 has risen to 72,344 martyrs and 172,242 wounded.

The ministry said the new victims had fallen in the past 24 hours, while many were still under the rubble as rescue crews were unable to reach them.

Statistics indicated that 765 martyrs have been killed since the "ceasefire" that was scheduled for October 11, which reflects the continued targeting despite international understandings.

                            Health crisis plagues displacement camps

On the humanitarian front, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has warned of the growing risk of skin disease and lesion outbreaks within Gaza's overcrowded displacement camps.

The deterioration of living conditions and the spread of rodents threaten a major health catastrophe, in light of the limited medical supplies and the difficulty of humanitarian aid reaching the most affected areas, the office stressed, calling on the international community to intensify its response to save the lives of the displaced.
