The "Tebyan" project from the University of Aleppo qualifies for the "Havard" International
In a new achievement that embodies the leadership of Syrian scientific competencies, the "Tebayan" project, an advanced clinical decision support system, has qualified to participate in the prestigious international event "Harvard HSIL Hackathon 2026".
The event is organized by the Health Systems Innovation Lab of Harvard University and is hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
Among thousands of global projects
According to the official website of the University of Aleppo, "Tebyan was selected from more than 2,000 projects submitted from around the world." The project, which stems from the emerging team "TebTech", is being developed by a research team led by Dr. Najm Salem and Eng. Zain Mahrousa, and the university is represented in this international participation by Dr. Ghina Maarawi and Eng. Rasha Maarawi, along with a group of specialized doctors.
Smart solutions for a better medical reality
The hackathon, held at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital (Al Suwaidi), aims to bring together innovators in the fields of medicine and technology to develop practical AI-based solutions.
The Tebyan project seeks to provide an integrated model that enhances the quality of healthcare and raises the efficiency of medical systems through technical tools that support physicians in making accurate clinical decisions, reflecting the spirit of integrative work between medical and engineering sciences.
