The Syrian Ministry of Education issues a decision to suspend the equivalence of foreign secondary and preparatory certificates

The Ministry of Education has issued a decision to suspend the implementation of the supplementary exam required for the equivalence of foreign preparatory and secondary school certificates, granted from outside Syria to Syrian students, during the academic years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027.

In a statement by the head of the Information Department at the Ministry of Education, Hamza Houria, he said that the decision aims to facilitate the procedures for Syrian students coming from abroad who hold non-Syrian educational certificates at the basic and secondary education stages, and to facilitate their enrollment in Syrian educational institutions in a timely manner.
