The Syrian border crossings authority opens the Arida border crossing with Lebanon.

The Syrian General Authority for Ports and Customs reopened the Arida border crossing with Lebanon on Sunday, aiming to streamline procedures for Syrians wishing to return to their country.
Mazen Alloush, the Authority's Director of Public Relations, stated in a Facebook post that the crossing will initially be for pedestrians only, in one direction from Lebanon to Syria, and will not allow the transport of household furniture.
Alloush explained that the bridge leading to the crossing still requires maintenance and repairs before it can be fully reopened to vehicular traffic. He emphasized that the Authority's staff are prepared to provide the necessary assistance to returnees and to organize entry procedures to ensure swift processing and the safety of citizens.
