The results of the elections in Al-Hasakah are final. No appeals to the Supreme Committee

The Supreme Committee for the Elections of the People's Assembly announced that the preliminary results have become final, after no appeals were received until the end of the official working hours for Monday, May 25, 2026, in the districts of Al-Hasakah and Qamishli in Al-Hasakah governorate, and Ain Arab in Aleppo province.
In a statement on Monday (May 25th), the commission's spokesman, Nawar Nejmeh, confirmed that the electoral process proceeded "in accordance with the legal procedures", and that the appeals door, which was opened until Monday evening, "did not witness any objections, which makes the announced results officially effective".
Najmeh explained that the announcement of the final results came after the expiration of the legal deadline for submitting appeals, which included the counting of votes and voting.
The committee announced the names of the winners in the three districts on Sunday, following a voting process that took place in the morning to elect members of the People's Assembly, amid official and administrative follow-up.
21 Kurdish parties reject elections
In parallel, representatives of 21 Kurdish parties and movements held a press conference in the city of Qamishli, during which they announced their rejection of what they called the "mechanism for parliamentary appointments and the distribution of seats" in al-Hasakah, considering that it does not reflect the will of the people and reproduces the "approach of exclusion and marginalization."
Their joint statement said that the recent appointments "represent only their owners" and that the mechanisms in place "do not establish a truly democratic political process," noting that the Kurdish people "have made great sacrifices for justice and national partnership."
The Kurdish forces accused the concerned authorities of continuing with "policies of super-appointment" and "reproduction of the central authority", in addition to "appointing immersive Arab figures in the electoral committees", considering this "part of the projects of demographic change".
Invitation to a comprehensive national conference
The signatory parties called for the launch of a "comprehensive national political process" that ensures the representation of all Syrian components, leading to an "inclusive national conference" that works to develop a roadmap for the transitional period, prepare for "free and fair" elections, and draft a new constitution that guarantees partnership, justice and democratic transition.
The political forces stressed that building a modern democratic Syria will not be achieved through what they called "super-appointments", but through a "real popular will" and the broad participation of all components.
