The legitimate president congratulatesPatriarchs Avram II and Absi on Easter

At the behest of President Ahmed al-Shara, the Governor of Damascus, Maher Marwan Idlibi, accompanied by the Presidential Advisor for Media Affairs, Ahmed Mowaffaq Zeidan, conveyed on Wednesday the President's congratulations and greetings on the occasion of Easter to the Patriarch of Antioch and the Rest of the Levant, the Supreme President of the Syriac Orthodox Church in the world, Patriarch Mar Ignatius Avram II, wishing him continued health and success, and the members of the community good and prosperity.

Idlibi also conveyed the President's Easter congratulations to the Patriarch of Antioch and the Rest of the Levant to the Melkite Roman Catholics, Yusuf Al-Absi, wishing him health and success, and more goodness and prosperity for the members of the community.

Patriarchs Avram II and Al-Absi expressed their thanks to the legitimate president for his congratulations, praying to God to protect Syria and its people.

On Sunday, April 5 and 12, the Christian communities in Syria, which follow the Western and Eastern calendars, celebrated Easter by holding prayers and services in churches.
