The killing of 6 Palestinians raises the death toll to 72,979 since October 2023

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Monday, May 25, that 6 Palestinians were killed during the past 24 hours, raising the death toll of the Israeli genocide to 72,979 martyrs since the start of the aggression on October 7, 2023, according to the daily statistical report issued by the ministry.

The ministry said that the hospitals in the Gaza Strip "received 5 new martyrs and a martyr affected by his injury, in addition to 8 injuries", at a time when the occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement in force since October 10,  2025 through shelling and shooting, stressing that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, amid the inability of ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them, which is likely to increase the toll in the coming hours.

Regarding the victims of Israeli violations of the truce, the ministry pointed out that 904 martyrs and 2713 injuries have been recorded, in addition to 777 cases of recovery since the agreement came into force, pointing  out that the ongoing Israeli aggression has left extensive destruction that affected 90% of the civilian infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, while the United Nations estimated the cost of reconstruction at about $70 billion.

Israeli army demolishes house in Silwan

Israeli authorities demolished a  two-story house in the Al-Bustan neighborhood of the East Jerusalem town of Silwan, allegedly building without a permit, amid tight protection from Israeli police, according to eyewitnesses.

Eyewitnesses said that  the demolitions affected the  walls of a number of houses and lands in the neighborhood, which witnessed the demolition of 45 houses during the past two years, while the Jerusalem  Governorate said in a statement that the demolitions come within a plan aimed at displacing the residents of the Al-Bustan neighborhood in favor of the establishment of the so-called "King David Gardens" and bus stops, as part of a project based on a biblical narrative that Israel seeks to impose in the area around the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Al-Bustan neighborhood is one of the most demolished neighborhoods in Silwan, where dozens of residents are at risk of losing their homes and being forcibly displaced, at a time  when  Palestinian and international human rights organizations assert that Israel   is restricting Palestinian construction in East Jerusalem in exchange for accelerating the pace of settlement expansion.

Displacement and seizure in the northern Jordan Valley

Mutaz Bisharat, the head of the settlement file in the Tubas governorate and the northern Jordan Valley, said that "the occupation forces stormed the communities of Jiftlik, Humsa al-Basaliyah, Humsa al-Farsha and Ras al-Ahmar, accompanied by parties affiliated with the so-called "Settlements Council", and began to seize properties belonging to Palestinian citizens.

Bisharat explained in a statement on Monday (May 25th) that the forces confiscated private cars, agricultural tractors and water tankers used by residents in their daily lives and in agriculture and grazing work, noting  that the Israeli army justified the confiscations by the presence of these properties in what he described as "military zones."

According to the Commission for Resistance to the Wall and Settlements, 1,637 attacks were recorded during the month of April alone, while Palestinian data indicate that since October 2023, attacks by the occupation army and settlers in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, have resulted in the death of 1,162 Palestinians and the injury of 12,245 others, in addition to the arrest of about 23,000 people.
