The Israeli occupation acknowledges the injury of an officer and a soldier in southern Lebanon

The Israeli occupation army announced on Friday that an Israeli officer and soldier were seriously injured during military operations during its incursion into southern Lebanon, coinciding with the continuation of Israeli airstrikes and Hezbollah's announcement of the implementation of continuous military attacks against occupation targets.

The Israeli army said in a statement that "a combat officer and a soldier were seriously injured last night, during a military operation in southern Lebanon," explaining that the soldiers were transferred to the hospital, without further details.

This comes a day after the Israeli occupation army announced that two soldiers were killed and 6 others were wounded in southern Lebanon.

On Thursday, the commander of the army's northern region, Rafi Milo, announced a "further expansion" of the ground incursion into southern Lebanon, claiming to "expand the scope of the advanced security zone."

Since the dawn of Friday, southern Lebanon has witnessed Israeli attacks, represented by a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling that targeted a number of towns.

The official Lebanese News Agency explained that Israeli warplanes launched raids on the towns of Zabqin and al-Tiri, as well as the area between the towns of Ramadiya and Siddiqin, in addition to a raid on the outskirts of the town of Mansouri.

The agency reported that an airstrike was carried out in the morning on an open ground in the town of Kafr Rumman, hours after a drone targeted a house in the Kasarat al-Sanubar neighborhood in the same town, shortly after midnight.
