The final touches for the launch of the movie "Big Ramy". Ramiz Jalal returns with a double dose of comedy

After a tumultuous Ramadan season in which "Trend"  topped the viewership with his show "Ramez Level the Monster", star Ramez Jalal is preparing to take his success from the small screen to the silver screen. Technical sources revealed that the release date of his new film "Big Ramy" is approaching, which is scheduled to be released in cinemas as part of the summer 2026 race.

A comedy mix and front-row stars

The film, in which director Mahmoud Karim puts the finishing touches, takes place in a comedic framework based on "situation comedy" and fast pace. The audience's enthusiasm is not limited to Ramez's return to cinema, but also extends to the list of participating stars, as the film witnesses a distinguished appearance by the artist Basma Boussil, along with a constellation of comedy and drama stars, most notably: Mohamed Anwar, Mohamed Abdel Rahman (Tota), Nisreen Amin, Huda Al-Atrebi, Mahmoud Hafez and Metwally Al-Sayed.

The film is written by the duo of Mustafa Omar and Farouk Hashem, who have previously excelled in crafting light-hearted and intelligent scenarios.

Guests of Honor and Special Statements

In a related context, the able artist Ismail Farghaly expressed his happiness to be in the film as a guest of honor, saying in a media interview: "Working with Ramez Galal is always fraught with joy and wonderful scenes, and I hope that the audience will feel the great effort exerted in this film to be a comedic meal worthy of the summer of 2026."

From "Level the Monster" to "Big Ramy"

According to follow-up artistic circles, the timing of the film's release comes very smartly, as Ramez Galal is investing in the great momentum achieved by his recent Ramadan program "Ramez Level the Monster" on MBC TV, through which he was able to maintain his leadership in the artistic media scene.

As the summer approaches, distribution companies are expecting fierce competition, amid expectations that "Big Ramy"  will top the box office, relying on Ramez Galal's broad fan base, especially among the youth and adolescent categories.
