The famous duo  "Tom and Jerry" returns with a new cinematic adventure

Viva Kids, in collaboration with Warner Bros., is gearing up to release the new animated film Tom and Jerry: The Forbidden Compass.

The work marks the latest feature film that brings together history's most iconic cat and mouse, offering modern visual treatment that blends classic comedy with epic adventures in mysterious worlds, and the show runs for 94 minutes.

The Legendary Compass and the Journey Through Time

The film begins with a traditional noisy chase between Tom and Jerry inside the corridors of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

During the chase, they inadvertently activate a mysterious "mythical compass," which opens a portal in time that throws them into a lost ancient city full of dangers.

Jerry finds himself attracted to a gang led by a cunning character, while fate puts Tom in an unexpected situation where he believes he has a "divine message" for the town's inhabitants.

A Forced Alliance for Survival

In the midst of this strange and difficult world, the two historical rivals are forced to put their differences aside and move beyond their ongoing conflicts.

The cinematic plot forces   Tom and Jerry to work as a team for the first time, using their wits and speed to overcome dangers and find a way back to their original world in New York, adding a new human and comedic dimension to their complicated relationship.

Our Team and International Showtimes

Written and directed by Gang Zhang, the film is inspired by the original Hanna-Barbera characters, with an international production and development team from Blossom Entertainment in Beijing. After its successful premiere in China in August 2025, the film was set to be released in US and international cinemas on September 9, 2026, where experts expect it to be a huge box office success due to the lack of strong direct competition at the time.
