Al-Fahd began her artistic career in 1962 through the series "The Bogsoum Family", before appearing on stage in the play "Al-Dhahaiya" in 1963, and in 1971 she had her first cinematic experiences in the film "Bass Ya Bahar", which was a prominent milestone in her artistic beginning, especially after her collaboration with Kuwait's top stars such as Abdul-Hussain Abdulreza, Saad Al-Faraj and Suad Abdullah.
Hayat Al-Fahd was born on April 15, 1948 in Kuwait, and is considered one of the most prominent pioneers of Gulf drama. Although she did not complete her formal education, she learned to read and write in Arabic and English, and entered the world of art by chance when the artist Bogsoum met her at the hospital where she worked and encouraged her to act, before her mother later agreed to accompany her brother during the shoot.
Her talent was not limited to acting, as she wrote a number of scripts for prominent series such as "Suleiman Al-Tayeb", "Al-Shreeb Baza" and "Al-Fariya", and she also published a collection of poetry entitled "Atab" in the late 1970s.
