The ambulance and healthcare system was the focus of discussions between the Ministry of Health and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

Minister of Health Musab Al-Ali met with the President of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, Dr. Hazem Baqleh, to discuss ways to enhance coordination and integration in joint efforts, particularly in the areas of ambulance, emergency, and healthcare services.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of Health building in Damascus, both sides emphasized the importance of unifying efforts, exchanging expertise, and working according to an integrated plan that ensures improved quality of medical services provided to citizens and guarantees rapid response to emergency and humanitarian cases. They also discussed regulating and controlling ambulance services and health centers in accordance with the approved public health policy.

Minister Al-Ali explained that the Ministry is giving special attention to developing the ambulance and emergency system, noting that cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent is a fundamental pillar in this field, given the organization's extensive field experience and widespread reach.

For his part, Baqleh affirmed the organization's commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Ministry of Health, considering it a key partner in healthcare work that serves the health system. He pointed out that the current phase requires high-level coordination and integrated roles to achieve optimal results. It is noted that the Ministry of Health seeks, through these meetings, to strengthen the partnership with the relevant humanitarian organizations, to ensure that ambulance and health services are delivered effectively and quickly, especially in cases of emergencies and disasters, in line with the Ministry’s plans to develop the public health sector.
