
Syrian Petroleum: Iraqi fuel convoys start entering through Al-Tanf port

The Syrian Petroleum Company announced the start of the entry of the first Iraqi fuel convoys into Syrian territory through the Al-Tanf port towards the Baniyas refinery, in preparation for their export to international markets.
The company said on its Telegram channel: "With the succession of the arrival of the convoys, the technical teams at Syrian Petroleum will begin the operations of unloading fuel in its tanks in preparation for transporting it to the Baniyas oil estuary and loading it onto the marine tankers intended for export within a route that reflects the readiness of the Syrian infrastructure and the efficiency of its cadres in managing transit operations according to the highest standards."
The company reiterated its commitment to strengthening this strategic role in the national interest and supporting the stability of energy markets in the region, while continuing to provide reliable alternatives in light of the current changes.
According to the information, the first convoy includes 299 tankers, as it is expected to be the cornerstone of a future phase that will witness a significant expansion and pave the way for the export of various petroleum products from land ports to the international gate through Syrian ports.
