Syria condemns the attack on Saudi Arabia with drones coming from Iraq

Syria has condemned  the attempt to target the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with drones coming from Iraqi territory.

 In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed Syria's full solidarity with the Kingdom in the face of terrorist attacks, stressing that such attacks are a violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a threat to the security and stability of the region.

 The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the interception and destruction of three drones, after they violated the Kingdom's airspace, coming from Iraqi airspace, noting that it would take the necessary measures to respond to any attempt to attack them.

 

Condemnation of the attack on the UAE

On  Sunday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned in the strongest terms the attack that targeted the UAE through three drones, one of which targeted  the Barakah nuclear power plant.

The ministry said in a statement that the targeting of civilian facilities, especially those related to peaceful nuclear energy, represents a very dangerous escalation and a flagrant violation of international law, and threatens the security and stability of the region.

The Syrian Foreign Ministry affirmed Damascus's support for the UAE, reiterating its full solidarity with it, stressing that the UAE's security and stability "are part of the security and stability of the entire region"
