Syria condemns Israeli aggression on its territory and calls for international action to stop it

Syria condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation's aggression against military infrastructure in the south, calling on the international community to put an end to Israel's ongoing policies of aggression and threats against Syria and the entire region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said in a statement today:  "The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the brutal Israeli aggression that targeted military infrastructures in southern Syria today, in flagrant violation of the principles of international law and the Charter of the United Nations, and a blatant assault on Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity."

She added that this new aggression, which comes under flimsy pretexts and artificial pretexts, constitutes a clear extension of the policy of escalation pursued by the Israeli occupation, and the continuation of the policy of interference in internal affairs with the aim of destabilizing security and stability in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that Syria holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the repercussions of this dangerous escalation, and calls on the international community, especially the Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and put an end to Israel's continuous policies of aggression and threats against Syria and the entire region.
