Sixth day of war: Iran denies infiltration of militants and continues to respond and Israeli bombardment of northern Lebanon

The United States and Israel continue to launch intensified raids on Iran on the sixth day of the war, while Tehran responds by targeting sites inside Israel and U.S. interests in the Gulf states.

In a remarkable development on the ground, the headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya of the Iranian armed forces announced that the headquarters of groups opposed to Tehran in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq had been targeted.

The strike followed reports in US media that there was a ground offensive by Iranian Kurdish groups in northwestern Iran, while Tehran categorically denied any infiltration or cross-border military operations.

Meanwhile, international media announced the continuation of mutual bombardment between the warring parties, while the capital Tehran witnessed last night a violent wave of joint US-Israeli bombardment, targeting military headquarters and service sites.

The Senate gets on the line

Politically, the U.S. Senate blocked a bill that would have restricted President Donald Trump's use of his military powers against Iran without congressional authorization, by a vote of 53 to 47.

Iran: No negotiations with Washington

Regarding the news circulating about the exchanges between Washington and Iran regarding the possibility of negotiations,  an Iranian official denied in a statement to Iran's Tasnim news agency  that he  had sent any message to Washington or responded to American messages, stressing that the Iranian armed forces were "preparing for a long war." This comes after a report published by the "Axios" website, which quoted a US official and another source as saying that Iran had sent letters to the United States in recent days without receiving a response.

Regarding the death toll of the war, Iranian media and human rights  activists reported that at least 1,114 civilians have been killed in Iran since the war began.

The sources indicated that this toll includes 183 children, most of them under the age of 10, according to the latest statistics published by HRANA on Thursday, and the organization is still working to verify more than 900 reported deaths.

On Thursday morning, the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that it had intercepted a new drone that was approaching the east.

The ministry explained that the plane was destroyed while it was approaching the northern Al-Jawf region, near the border with Jordan, and this announcement comes after previous announcements issued at  dawn today about the interception of three drones and three cruise missiles outside the city of Al-Kharj.

The Lebanese Front is hot

On the Lebanese front, Israeli shelling continues for a third day on Lebanon, especially on its southern regions, in conjunction with attempts to incur ground into southern Lebanon, which Hezbollah said it thwarted in the town of Khiam after direct clashes.

Israel also intensified its raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut and areas in the south of the country, and expanded the scope of targeting to include northern Lebanon, where a raid at dawn on Thursday targeted a residential apartment in the Beddawi camp in the city of Tripoli.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced dozens of casualties and hundreds of injuries as a result of the ongoing Israeli airstrikes against Lebanon.
