Shocking testimonies of Israeli soldiers. Ceasefire "Joke"
A Palestinian died on Sunday as a result of his injuries sustained as a result of the occupation's shelling in the vicinity of the Firas market in the center of Gaza City earlier.
In a subsequent development, a number of Palestinians were injured after the Israeli occupation aircraft targeted a tent for displaced people near the Abdul Aziz Al-Ashqar Mosque in the area of Rawdat Al-Alia, east of Jabalia refugee camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.
The death toll since the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to 930, the total number of injuries to 2,811, while 781 bodies have been recovered. According to data from the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
Settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque
On Sunday, dozens of settlers stormed the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the Israeli police, and raised the flags of the occupation state.
Local sources reported that the settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in groups from the Maghreb Gate, performed racist Talmudic rituals, carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, raised the occupation flag in the vicinity of the Dome of the Rock Mosque and sang the Israeli anthem, under the protection of the occupation police.
Shocking testimonies. Ceasefire "Joke"
Testimonies given by Israeli army reservists revealed a bleak picture of the situation inside the areas under the occupation control in the Gaza Strip, where they spoke of direct orders to shoot at Palestinians without any discrimination, stressing that these areas have turned into a kind of "jungle" in the complete absence of field controls.
The soldiers told the Associated Press that what is presented to the public as a "ceasefire agreement" does not exist on the ground, and described it as a "formality" that does not change anything in the reality of military operations.
They pointed out that the killings have not stopped since the agreement came into effect last October, and that their leaders have explicitly told them in closed meetings that they want the war to continue, and that the occupation plans to stay in Gaza for a long time without the intention of withdrawing.
One soldier spoke of the incident of targeting a Palestinian civilian vehicle and killing all those in it just because it was approaching the "yellow line" area, stressing that such practices have become "normal" amid a general feeling among soldiers that the life of a Palestinian is worthless, adding that the instructions were clear: "Eliminate anyone who crosses the yellow line regardless of who they are."
Human rights organization: Shooting with the intention of killing
The testimonies reflect a wide state of confusion and ambiguity in the orders to fire, with soldiers relying, according to their accounts, on "intuition and guts" to make the decision to strike or call in drones to bomb anyone moving without verifying their identity.
They noted that the "yellow line" is invisible in most areas, and that the leaders refused to mark it, claiming that it was not their job to do "additional work," leaving it to the Palestinians to guess its location.
In the same context, the human rights organization "Breaking the Silence" confirmed that the shoot-out instructions issued by the top leaders are excessively lenient, and in many locations turn into direct orders to "fire with the aim of killing", which has led to the death of large numbers of unarmed civilians due to imaginary and invisible lines.
According to the agency's statistics, more than 900 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire came into effect, and dozens of them fell near the "Yellow Line" or while trying to cross it, and in its response, the Israeli army claimed that the area is a "sensitive operational environment" and that its forces dealt with those it considered a "threat."
