Shocking testimonies of Israeli soldiers. Ceasefire "Joke"

Testimonies given by Israeli army reservists revealed a bleak picture of the situation inside the areas under the occupation control in the Gaza Strip, where they spoke of direct orders to shoot at Palestinians without any discrimination, stressing that these areas have turned into a kind of "jungle" in the complete absence of field controls.

The soldiers told the Associated Press that what is presented to the public as a "ceasefire agreement" does not exist on the ground, and described it as a "formality" that does not change anything in the reality of military operations.

They pointed out that the killings have not stopped since the agreement came into effect last October, and that their leaders have explicitly told them in closed meetings that they want the war to continue, and that the occupation plans to stay in Gaza for a long time without the intention of withdrawing.

One soldier spoke of the incident of targeting a Palestinian civilian vehicle and killing all those in it just because it was approaching the "yellow line" area, stressing that such practices have become "normal" amid a general feeling among soldiers that the life of a Palestinian is worthless, adding that the instructions were clear: "Eliminate anyone who crosses the yellow line regardless of who they are."
