Syriatel's Managing Director, Sobhi Al-Droubi, said that the work of the Internet is likely to improve in the coming months, and that subscribers will see a gradual improvement in performance and speed of communication.
Al-Droubi confirmed to local media that subscribers will see the improvement with the arrival of shipments of modern equipment, and the completion of the necessary installation processes and the gradual start of benefiting from them.
Al-Droubi revealed the company's development plans to improve the quality of the network, by rebuilding the infrastructure, completing the restoration of destroyed towers, expanding the network with hundreds of new towers with modern technologies, enhancing service and deployment in all governorates, investing in digital infrastructure, and supporting entrepreneurial projects.
Al-Droubi attributed the reason for the poor internet service in most areas to the decline in network infrastructure, as hundreds of destroyed towers were counted in various areas after the liberation, in addition to increasing pressure on them.
Al-Droubi concluded that the company is working on restoring hundreds of destroyed towers, expanding through the installation of new towers with modern technologies, and is also working to raise the efficiency of the network by achieving full transition and widespread deployment of the fourth generation service in all governorates, while the company is waiting for the arrival of successive shipments of modern equipment to develop the towers' infrastructures.
