Senegal won the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title after beating Morocco 1-0 in extra time, in a thrilling final held at the Moulay Abdallah Stadium.
Pap Gay scored the winning goal in the 94th minute with a powerful shot that Yassine Bounou was unable to keep out. Morocco had a golden chance before the end of the original time, but Ibrahim Diaz missed a penalty that was saved by goalkeeper Eduardo Mendy.

With this win, Senegal achieve its second title in the tournament after the 2021 crown, while Morocco has been waiting for a new title since 1976.

The final came after a difficult journey for both teams, as Morocco qualified on penalties against Nigeria, while Senegal continued its strong performance to clinch the title in the first encounter between the two teams in the African Nations Final.
