Saudi company signs a memorandum of understanding to develop the infrastructure of the Syrian water sector

Saudi Arabia's Amiantit Company announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Syrian Ministry of Energy to cooperate in the development of water and wastewater infrastructure in Syria.

 

The company said in a statement that the MoU aims to support the Syrian government's plans to modernize critical facilities related to water treatment, pumping and desalination, as well as implementing water transmission networks and pipeline projects.

 

The company explained that the MoU includes the establishment of a non-binding cooperation framework for the design, construction and rehabilitation of water treatment plants, in addition to the implementation of water transmission networks and line projects, in addition to the manufacture, supply and installation of pipeline systems, according to the disclosure.

 

The company pointed out that the memorandum includes the preparation of technical and economic studies, the provision of ready-made solutions for remote areas, the transfer of knowledge, raising the efficiency of national cadres, and the localization of the pipe industry inside Syria.
