Protest at Aleppo University in rejection of the Knesset's decision to execute Palestinian prisoners

On Wednesday, hundreds of students of the University of Aleppo organized a protest inside the Faculty of Medicine to denounce the decision of the "Israeli Knesset" to approve death sentences against Palestinian prisoners in the Gaza Strip.
The participants raised Palestinian flags and banners demanding an end to violations against detainees, warning that the resolution grants legitimacy to deliberate killings in clear violation of international conventions, especially the Hague Convention.
The students chanted slogans in support of the Palestinian cause, amid a remarkable presence of academics who participated in the event.
The vigil witnessed video footage documenting the interaction of the crowds and their gathering in front of the college gate, in a scene that reflects the unity of the students' and academic stance towards humanitarian issues and their rejection of any measures that affect the rights of prisoners.
At the end of the event, the participants affirmed their continued solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners, stressing that Aleppo University will remain a platform for defending human rights and just causes.
