President Sharia: Justice is one of the highest values and a great goal that the state is keen to achieve

President Ahmed Al-Sharaa stressed that justice will remain a solid value for the Syrian people to win and that the state will ensure that it is achieved in order to provide justice to the victims and promote civil peace.

President Al-Sharia said on the X platform on Sunday, April 26, 2026: "Justice will remain one of the highest values for which our people have triumphed, and a great goal that the state and its institutions are keen to achieve, in order to provide justice to the victims, to heal the wounds, to promote civil peace and coexistence, and to affirm our pledge to prosecute those who caused the suffering and pain of our people."

 The  first session of the public trials of the symbols of the former regime began on Sunday, with the appearance of Atef Naguib before the Fourth Criminal Court at the Judicial Palace in Damascus, on charges related to committing crimes against the Syrian people, as it ended with setting Sunday, May 10, the date for the second session to consider the case and follow up on the trial procedures.
