

President Ahmed Al-Shara met separately with the two businessmen: Turkish Fattah Tamanci, founder and chairman of Rixos International Hotels, and Emirati Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Shaibani, at the People's Palace in Damascus.
During the meeting with the Turkish businessman, they discussed the prospects for investment in Syria, especially in the tourism and hotel sectors, and opportunities to establish projects that benefit from the advanced expertise of the Tamanci Group.
They also discussed the reality of current investment projects, and plans to expand the business environment and provide investment incentives in the sectors of tourism, energy, real estate development, and infrastructure rehabilitation.
Tamengı is one of the most prominent Turkish businessmen and pioneers in the hospitality, real estate and tourism sector in the region, as he is the Chairman of the FT Group, the founder of The Land of Legends Hotel and Parks, and the developer of the Istanbul Arsenal and Alia Hotel projects in Istanbul.
His strategic vision has contributed to establishing Turkey as a global destination in the tourism sector, as he founded Rixos Hotels and transformed it into a global brand, relying on quality concepts that combine hospitality, leisure and innovation.
Meeting the Emirati businessman

In a related context, President Al-Shara discussed with Emirati businessman Mohammed Ibrahim Al-Shaibani the opportunities available for Emirati companies to contribute to reconstruction projects, real estate development, tourism, and financial services sectors in Syria. The meeting discussed the facilities provided by the Syrian state to investors in a way that enhances the business environment and opens the way for sustainable strategic partnerships.
Al Shaibani is one of Dubai's most prominent economic and investment leaders, and one of the pivotal figures in the field of sovereign investment and financial policy formulation, where he has played an active role in consolidating Dubai's position as a global business hub.
Mr. Al Shaibani has held senior positions including Director General of the Ruler's Court of Dubai, Managing Director of Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), Chairman of Dubai Islamic Bank, Member of the Executive Board of the Emirate of Dubai, as well as Chairman of the Boards of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, Kerzner International and Dubai Philanthropie.
