
President Al-Shara: Syria is a safe haven for energy supply chains through its strategic location

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa confirmed that many amendments have been made to the investment law to facilitate and encourage investments in Syria.
During his speech at the German-Syrian Business Forum held in Berlin, President Al-Sharaa pointed out that Syria is a safe haven for energy supply chains through its strategic location, and it has great investment opportunities in infrastructure, oil and gas wealth.
The Syrian president said that there is a large Syrian community in Germany, and German entities that want to invest in Syria can benefit from these cadres who have been educated in German universities.
Al-Shaibani: Reconstruction and reconstruction
For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani stressed that Syria's vision depends on reconstruction and development after the massive destruction left by the former regime, noting that the most prominent success achieved last year was the lifting of sanctions on Syria, which was a gateway of hope for Syrians.
Minister Al-Shaibani pointed out that there are great ambitions to make Syria among the ranks of developed countries and to close the dark ages that it has gone through.
Minister of Economy: Syria and Germany are stages of cooperation
Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar said that Syria and Germany have historically brought them together at stations of mutual cooperation and historical relations, and today we are reconnecting with the world in a way that serves the interests of our peoples and strengthens our relations with other countries.
He said that it is necessary to refer to the humanitarian-economic bridge that has been formed between our two countries, represented by the Syrian community in Germany, as we do not look at them as a temporary bridge, but rather as a bridge that unites relations between the two countries.
Minister of Energy: Syria is living in difficult times
For his part, Energy Minister Mohammed al-Bashir said that while the world was moving towards renewable and clean energies, Syria was living difficult days at all levels as a result of the war caused by the old regime.
The Minister of Energy revealed that two memorandums were signed with Siemens in order to cooperate and work on building a command and operation system for the Syrian network, in addition to signing a memorandum with Knauf, a gypsum board manufacturer, as well as for cooperation in the fields of water and energy.
Emergency Minister: We look forward to benefiting from German experience
Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management Raed Al-Saleh also stressed Germany's role in supporting the Syrian Civil Defense during the years of the revolution, as well as during the response to the repercussions of the February 2023 earthquake, noting that Syria looks forward to benefiting from Germany's experience in the field of emergency, disaster management and early warning.
