President Al-Shara discusses relations between the two countries and regional developments with the President of the United Arab Emirates

President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed in a phone call the relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields.

 

The two presidents also discussed on Thursday the paths of cooperation, especially in the developmental, economic and investment fields, in order to serve the development priorities of the two countries and their mutual interests, and bring growth and prosperity to their peoples.

 

The two presidents also exchanged views on a number of regional issues and issues of common interest, foremost of which are the developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on regional and international peace and security, and the efforts made in this regard.

 

Gulf Tour

President Al-Sharaa visited the UAE on April 22 as part of a Gulf tour that included Saudi Arabia and Qatar, during which he renewed Syria's solidarity with Arab countries that have been subjected to Iranian aggressions.

The meetings in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE dealt with  strengthening bilateral relations, regional and international developments and means of coordination, in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.

At the end of the Gulf tour, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani stressed that the leaders' meetings during the tour focused on strengthening the strong brotherly relations.

Minister Al-Shaibani explained that the tour discussed ways to advance economic development and reconstruction, in addition to affirming Syria's firm position in standing by its brothers and its full solidarity in the face of various threats.
