Pilgrims throw the stones on the first day of Tashreeq. When do the rushers leave?

Today, Thursday, May 28, pilgrims began performing the ritual of throwing the three embers in Mash'ar Mina, on the first day of Tashreeq (the second day of Eid al-Adha).

The Jamarat Bridge witnessed a gradual influx of crowds starting after the sun had set, as pilgrims throw seven pebbles on the lesser embers every day of Tashreeq, then seven on the middle embers, and then seven on the major embers (Aqaba Embers).

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the security and health authorities confirmed the continuation of the implementation of the delegation and organization plans to ensure the safety of pilgrims and the smooth movement of pilgrims, especially with the presence of more than 1.7 million pilgrims in the holy sites this year.

The competent authorities called on pilgrims to abide by the instructions, stay overnight in Mina, and ensure safety in light of the rise in temperatures.

Syrian needy dies and 18 others are transferred to Saudi hospitals

The medical mission of the Hajj and Umrah Department referred 18 Syrian pilgrims from Upper Arafat to Saudi hospitals, as a result of exposure to heat stroke and other health conditions.

The head of the mission explained that  medical services and health consultations were provided to about 700 Syrian pilgrims, as part of a comprehensive field plan aimed at following up on the conditions of pilgrims and dealing quickly with emergency cases, indicating that the majority of cases transferred to hospitals were caused by exposure to heat stroke as a result of the significant rise in temperatures.

He added that only one case is still receiving treatment at King Faisal Hospital, for a man suffering from a brain hemorrhage, whose condition is critical, and he is receiving the necessary care in the intensive care unit, stressing that his health condition will continue to be monitored.

He revealed that the mission recorded a case of death of a Syrian needy after a sudden cardiac arrest during the night of Arafa, where she was taken to King Fahd Hospital, but she died despite the attempts of medical staff to save her.

Terms and conditions of the Hurried

The pilgrim may hasten to leave the Mash'ar of Mina on the second day of Tashreeq (which is the twelfth day of Dhu al-Hijjah), and thus the throwing of the embers of the third day (the thirteenth) is waived.

If the sun has set and the pilgrim is still inside Mina (without starting to go out or due to laziness), he must stay overnight on the night of the thirteenth and throw the stones the next day.

If the pilgrim proceeds to go out and pack, but his movement or the bus of Tawwaj is disrupted due to the heavy traffic and the sun sets on him while he is on the way inside Mina, then there is no sin on him, and he is allowed to go out and he is not obliged to stay overnight, and the one who is in a hurry must throw the three stones successively after the demise (the smaller, then the middle, and then the major) with seven pebbles for each stone, and it is not permissible to throw the stone before the completion of the throwing.

After leaving Mina, the pilgrim heads directly to Mecca to perform the farewell tawaf, which is the last time he is at home before leaving Mecca for his country.
