Peres intervenes. Presidential decree on Mbappe's participation in the Clásico

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has issued strict orders regarding French star Kylian Mbappe's stance on participating in the upcoming Clásico against Barcelona next Sunday at the Spotify Camp Nou.
Mbappe caused a stir after leaving the pitch in the 83rd minute of the Betis match, due to an overload in the back muscle of his left leg, an injury that kept him out of the Espanyol match and threatened to end his season.
The outrage came after the French striker travelled for a holiday in Sardinia and appeared in photos with actress Esther Exposito, at a time when he was supposed to continue his treatment program with Real Madrid doctors.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", the Real Madrid management considered that Mbappe's behavior comes as a continuation of the series of lack of commitment, especially since it is not the first incident, as the French striker had previously traveled to Paris to get a second medical opinion and was seen walking around there at a time when the team was losing to Getafe at the Bernabéu.
The newspaper pointed out that Mbappe's recent behavior has particularly upset Perez, as the player who handed him the keys to lead the royal project for years to come at the expense of Vinicius Jr.
It explained that Perez himself issued firm instructions to conduct urgent medical examinations for Mbappe as soon as the player arrived at Valdebebas to ensure his recovery from back muscle pain and his participation in the Clasico.
Perez is pushing for Mbappe's participation against Barcelona, in order to spoil Barça's plan to win the La Liga title in the Clasico.
These presidential moves come at a time when the end of the 2025-2026 season has turned into a nightmare for Florentino Pérez, as the team is reeling for the second year in a row, amid the temporary technical leadership of coach Alvaro Arbeloa, who will soon be leaving, in addition to the lack of discipline inside the dressing room that has eroded the club's image and prompted fans to sharply criticize the presidential podium and the players for lack of commitment.
Sport reported that Mbappe has had several clashes with the club this season, starting with a clash with former assistant coach Xabi Alonso, and he also leaked news that Real Madrid doctors examined the wrong knee to justify his travel to France to get a different medical opinion.
Roma tighten pressure on Juventus in Champions League qualification race
Roma tightened its pressure on Juventus in the race to qualify for the Champions League, with a big win over its guest Fiorentina with a clean sheet, on Monday, at the Stadio Olimpico at the conclusion of the 35th round of the competition.
The Giallorossi took their tally to 64 points in fifth place, reducing the gap to one point against fourth-placed Juventus, who stumbled to Hellas Verona in a 1-1 draw on Sunday, reviving their hopes of securing a place in next season's Champions League Golden Box.
Fiorentina, on the other hand, are frozen at 37 points after suffering their 14th defeat in the competition this season, to remain in 16th place, needing just one point from their remaining three games to ensure their stay in the league.
The Italian capital team sealed the victory in the first half after taking a clean sheet, as Gianluca Mancini opened the scoring early in the 13th minute with a header after a cross from Nicolo Bescelli from a corner.
Brazilian Wesley doubled Roma's lead after just 4 minutes with a right-footed curling shot from the middle of the box into the bottom right corner after a quick counter-attack and an assist from Spaniard Mario Hermoso.
Hermoso extended the hosts' lead with a third goal in the 34th minute when Frenchman Manu Cone from Niccolò Fagioli crossed the line and passed the ball past Hermoso to easily put the ball into the net from close range.
In the second half, Wolves made do with one goal after Nicolo Beselli closed the quartet in the 58th minute with a header from close range, taking advantage of a neat cross from Dutchman Donel Malin.
