
People's Assembly elections. Completing the arrangements for opening the ballot boxes tomorrow in Al-Hasakah, Qamishli and Ain Arab

The Supreme Committee for the Elections of the People's Assembly inspected, on the ground, the final preparations and polling stations in Al-Hasakah governorate and the Ain al-Arab center in Aleppo governorate, where the electoral process is scheduled to start tomorrow, Sunday, to determine the availability of the technical and logistical means necessary for the success of the election.
The spokesman of the Supreme Committee for the Elections of the People's Assembly, Nawar Najmeh, explained that the Supreme Committee, represented by Dr. Anas Al-Abda, arrived in Al-Hasakah province and held a series of extensive meetings with the subcommittees in charge of the electoral areas, to ensure the availability of the rooms designated for secret voting, and to ensure the presence of local and foreign media to keep up with the event.
Completion of procedures in Qamishli and Ayn al-Arab
The members of the High Elections Committee, Imad Barq and Mohammed Wali, went to the Ain al-Arab area in Aleppo governorate to inspect the final touches at the polling station accredited there, where the committee confirmed that the local authorities have completed all logistical and security facilities to ensure the smooth and smooth conduct of the electoral process, in conjunction with the country's entry into the phase of electoral silence following the end of the deadline allocated for advertising.
A member of the sub-electoral committee of the Qamishli region, Reber Sida, pointed out that the ballot boxes will be opened tomorrow morning for candidates, their representatives and voters to make sure that they are completely empty before the start of voting, pointing out that a legal committee has been formed to audit the documents of the voters accepted to represent the region, with the voter's name immediately deleted from the records after casting his vote to prevent the repetition of voting and ensure integrity.
Voting Dates, Counting Mechanisms and Quorum
The Supreme Committee has set the official hours for voting, as the ballot boxes start receiving citizens at eight o'clock in the morning until twelve o'clock in the afternoon in the districts of Al-Hasakah, Qamishli, and Ayn al-Arab, provided that the quorum set at $70/% is achieved, with the possibility of extending for one hour only in case the quorum is not completed, provided that the counting of votes begins immediately and the preliminary results are announced immediately upon completion.
In its official decisions, the committee indicated the approved locations of the centers, where the administration building of Al-Hasakah governorate (the meeting hall) designated the center of the electoral district of Al-Hasakah, and the old cultural center (next to the Engineers Syndicate) as the center of the Qamishli district, while the cultural center in Ain al-Arab approved the center of the electoral district of Aleppo governorate, after the issuance of the final lists of candidates from the districts of (Al-Hasakah, Al-Malikiya, Al-Qamishli, and Ayn Al-Arab).
Next steps after the Eid holiday
The spokesman of the Supreme Committee, Nawar Najmeh, confirmed in media statements that the conclusion of the electoral process in Al-Hasakah province will directly pave the way for the holding of the first session of the People's Assembly in its new session, pointing out that in the event of a decision by the President of the Republic to appoint the remaining third of the members of the Council, the first opening session is expected to be held after the Eid al-Adha holiday.
