On the fifteenth anniversary. Idlib recalls the pulse of the revolution and raises its flags again

In the presence of memories and pictures of martyrs in thoughts and squares, Idlib province commemorated today the fifteenth anniversary of the Syrian revolution, amid a wide public presence that extended from the heart of the city to the outskirts of its countryside, in a scene that reflected the people's adherence to the memory of the event despite the challenges that years have entailed.

The Sabaa Bahrat Square in Idlib city was the center of the main events, where hundreds gathered raising the flags and banners of the revolution, chanting messages of loyalty to the martyrs and detainees, and the celebrations included some songs and rhetorical paragraphs that gave the occasion a social character.

During the events, Idlib Governor Mohammed Abdul Rahman addressed the people in a speech in which he stressed the symbolism of this day in the hearts of Syrians, stressing the importance of preserving the values of the revolution and strengthening the cohesion of society in the face of the current circumstances, in conjunction with the widespread deployment of security forces in the streets of the city and around the main squares, to ensure the safety of the participants and organize the movement during the gatherings.

In the countryside of the governorate, the anniversary was attended in its own way, as some cities and towns witnessed symbolic events and limited gatherings inside the civic centers and small squares, stressing that the occasion is still a firm part of the conscience of the people.

In a number of villages in the southern countryside, harsh weather conditions forced their presence, as rain and strong winds prevented residents from going out to the squares, so the people took refuge in mosques, and were content with takbeers, reading the Qur'an, and praying for the martyrs and the injured, in an expressive scene that reflects the people's attachment to their revolution, even in the simplest forms of revival.

Despite the different scenes of the celebrations, the message remained the same: the revolution is still present in the hearts of Syrians, and its values have not lost their meaning no matter how long it takes.
