
Oil transfer from the Tigris field in Al-Hasakeh to the Banias refinery begins

The Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC) has started transporting oil from the Tigris field located in the village of Agha in Al-Yarubiya district in northeastern Syria's Al-Hasakah province to the Baniyas refinery.
Syrian News learned that the oil transfer is carried out under the supervision of the director of the Tigris field, Engineer Khalil al-Moussa, and the head of the oil professional union, Thamer Darwish, who are assigned by the Ministry of Energy and the Syrian Petroleum Company to transport crude oil from the Tigris field to the Baniyas refinery.
It is noteworthy that the Tigris oil field is located near the Syrian-Iraqi border, and is considered one of the main oil sites and as a vital facility of important infrastructure in the Ya'arBayeh oil field, and part of the oil fields of the Rumailan oil complex, which includes more than 1300 oil wells and many sites for gas extraction, which is one of the most important sources of energy in Syria.
It is noteworthy that during the years of war, the Tigris field was subjected to extensive material damage.
