NATO Secretary-General: Russia is more desperate and its losses exceed 30,000 troops per month

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said the United States continues to supply Ukraine with PAC-2 and PAC-3 Patriot missiles on a daily and weekly basis, despite its preoccupation with the escalating crises in the Middle East.
This came in remarks he made during a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following the NATO-Ukraine Council meeting in Kyiv.
Rutte stressed that Russia appears "more desperate" on the battlefield, noting that its human losses exceed 30,000 troops per month, a figure that exceeds the total losses of the Soviet Union during the 10 years of the Afghanistan war.
He added that NATO condemns "Russian aggression" and continues to push for a negotiated solution, stressing that its presence in Kyiv accompanied by representatives of the 32 countries is aimed at confirming the continuation of military and political support for Ukraine.
Continued U.S. support... And the challenge in military production
The NATO secretary-general strongly defended Washington's commitment to Kyiv, saying the United States was "doing everything in its power" to provide Ukraine with vital Patriot interceptor missiles, as well as sensitive intelligence.
The problem is not political will, but the pace of military production, he said, noting that Trump is communicating directly with defense companies to increase production.
He stressed that the continued flow of aid despite the war in the Middle East is "good news", but stressed the need to ensure that Ukraine's needs are met in the medium and long term.
Zelensky: I am ready to negotiate with Putin
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that ending the war with Russia "does not seem to be a priority" for the United States at the moment, considering that the Ukraine crisis is no longer at the forefront of American attention, and said: "Instead of waiting in line until all the conflicts in the world are over, I am ready to negotiate directly with Putin to end this war."
Zelensky confirmed that Russia has launched extensive air attacks over the past two days, and that the Ukrainian army has responded with strikes inside Russian territory and revealed cooperation with European countries, including France, Norway, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Italy, to develop a joint ballistic missile defense system, in addition to the joining of 6 new countries to the "Ukraine's Priority Needs List" program for the purchase of weapons.
He concluded by pointing out that his country will participate in the NATO summit scheduled to be held in Ankara next July, where talks will be held related to the security guarantees demanded by Kyiv.
Rubio announces Trump's participation in NATO summit in Ankara
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced on Wednesday that Trump will personally participate in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit scheduled for the Turkish capital Ankara on July 7-8.
This came in his remarks during a hearing before the Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives, to discuss the State Department's budget request for fiscal year 2027 and other international issues.
"The president will personally participate in the next meeting of NATO leaders," Rubio said, adding that the summit to be hosted by Turkey could be "one of the most important meetings in the alliance's history."
He pointed out that there are a number of issues that need clarification and addressing within the alliance, stressing that the United States remains a committed member of NATO that has become in need of "significant changes."
