Motorola has officially announced the full details of its upcoming Motorola Edge 70 Pro, revealing its official launch date on April 22. This step comes as part of the company's efforts to establish its foothold in the "mid-mid" category by offering a combination of elegance and advanced technologies.
Leading display and standard brightness
The new phone stands out with a 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED curved screen that supports Super HD resolution.
Continuing its collaboration with Pantone, the phone comes in modern colors including Lily White, Tea, and Titan, with a variety of materials from premium glass to textured accents that give the device a unique character.
Enhanced performance with Android 16
In terms of internal hardware, the device is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor, supported by up to 12GB of RAM. The phone will be one of the first devices to run on the Android 16 operating system, with the company committing to provide 3 years of system updates and 5 years of security support.
Battery Revolution and Charging Speed
Motorola has made a quantum leap in battery capacity to 6500 mAh, ensuring that the phone will last for long periods of heavy use. The phone also supports 90W fast charging technology, a significant improvement that enhances the device's competitiveness against leading models.
The phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony Lytia 710 sensor, which promises outstanding performance in low-light conditions. However, the absence of the telephoto lens has sparked controversy in the tech community, with reports suggesting that it will be replaced by a wide lens and a multi-function sensor, which some have seen as a decline compared to the previous generation.
Comprehensive resistance
Motorola has not neglected the protection aspect, as the phone supports IP68 and IP69 standards for water and dust resistance, with the screen enhanced with Gorilla Glass 7i. The phone has also passed MIL-STD-810H military durability tests, with support for an immersive audio experience with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio.
Price and availability
The phone is set to start rolling out in the Indian market first before it reaches the European market, with a price of between 649 and 699 euros.
Although it is not directly expected in the US market, it is expected that a modified version of it will appear under other names later.
