
Minister of Education: No postponement of official exams and questions of the two certificates will be optional

The Minister of Education, Mohamed Abdulrahman Turko, confirmed that there is no postponement of the official exams for the secondary certificates and basic education, calling on students and parents not to listen to rumors and focus on preparation.
Turko explained in his statements today, Sunday, May 31, that the ministry has succeeded in completing all the logistics of the exam process in cooperation with the various concerned ministries to the fullest, pointing out that all logistical preparations in the exam centers have been completed in conjunction with the increase in the number of students applying this year by 33%.
Exceptional Exam Facilities for Students in the Eastern Governorates
The Minister of Education also announced the launch of the decision to replace student cards between the two banks of the Euphrates River, in a step aimed at facilitating the movement of students and completing the exam process easily and safely, pointing out that the Ministry has issued several decisions and qualitative facilities in favor of students in order to serve their educational journey, especially in the Eastern Province, where the integration of students and teachers continues in those governorates to ensure the stability of the educational reality.
Minister Turko called on students to arrive early at their centers and fully adhere to the rules of discipline, appealing to parents not to accompany their children in order to ensure calm and complete the exams in an optimal manner.
Certificate questions are optional
Regarding the nature of the exams, the minister assured the students that the questions for the exams of the two certificates will be optional, comprehensive, and multi-skilled, taking into account individual differences and measuring real educational achievement.
In a related context related to the file of teaching cadres, Turko revealed that the ministry is going to organize an official competition to confirm new teachers before the beginning of the next academic year, stressing the return of about 14,000 teachers and employees who were previously dismissed from the Ministry of Education's staff for their participation in the events of the revolution, as part of efforts to address job files and fill the shortage in schools.
National Curriculum Standards and a Vision to Address School Dropout
Turko pointed out that the Ministry has completed the preparation of national standards for the new educational curricula, and is preparing to start the compilation phase as soon as it receives the approval of the Higher Education Council, as part of a comprehensive vision based on developing the skills of teaching staff and qualifying teachers, which will reflect positively on the modernization and development of the educational system as a whole in the country.
The Minister of Education concluded his remarks by addressing the issue of school dropouts, explaining that the file of student dropouts is thorny and complex, and is not limited to the scope of the Ministry of Education only, due to its close connection to multiple social and economic causes and backgrounds, and stressed that the Ministry's main task in this file is to secure and equip the appropriate educational place, while the rest of the dimensions of this file are coordinated and dealt with in an integrated manner by several concerned ministries and government institutions.
