Mbappe puts Real Madrid in the face of a storm of criticism

The recent injury case of Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe continues to receive widespread attention in the global media, after the bombshell detonated by RMC radio on Tuesday.

French journalist Daniel Riolo, on the "After Foot" program on RMC  radio, revealed details that could be considered a real scandal for Real Madrid, after he pointed out that the reason for Mbappe's travel to Paris was the result of a serious medical error in diagnosing his injury.

Riolo explained that the player was very angry because of the diagnosis he received in Madrid, saying: "He got a wrong diagnosis in Madrid, he didn't like it at all, he was angry," which prompted him to travel to Paris for treatment.

But it didn't stop there, as Riolo revealed even more interesting information: "What is circulating in the insiders is that the mistake was very huge, as it is said that Real Madrid examined his right right knee instead of the injured left."

"The consequences could have been very serious because of this mistake. Mbappe played for a while without knowing the nature of his injury, and he could have suffered a serious knee tear."

Commenting on the bombshell, veteran Spanish journalist Alfredo Relano, 75, has been highly critical of Real Madrid after the "scandal".

"We are talking about a player, everything that happens to him becomes global news, and what happened to him fortunately was not a surgery but just a diagnosis," Relano began, according  to the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo".

"They put both legs in the same tube and in the same scanner and noticed the wrong leg, but come on, it's really funny," he said.

"Imagine if it was surgery, if they had an operation on his other healthy knee, right? That would have been crazy."

He concluded with a scathing comment: "It's the most humiliating defeat I've ever had at Real Madrid in my memory, like a scene from a satirical comedy."
