Mallorca blocks Real Madrid, gives Barcelona a precious gift

Real Madrid suffered a blow in the La Liga race after falling to Real Mallorca 2-1 in the 30th round of LaLiga.

Although the Royals managed to equalize in the 89th minute through Eder Militão, after Mallorca took the lead through Manuel Morales in the 41st minute, the hosts quickly snatched the victory with a killer goal signed by Vedat Moriki in the 90+1st minute.

With the victory, Mallorca raised its tally to 31 points in 17th place, while Real Madrid's balance was frozen at 69 points in the runners-up, giving rivals Barcelona a golden opportunity to extend the gap on the lead.

Bavarian turn the tables on Freiburg

In Germany, Bayern Munich secured a dramatic 3-2 win over Freiburg in the 28th round of the Bundesliga, in a match that saw great excitement and widespread protests from the hosts.

Bayern entered the match with impressive absences, most notably Harry Kane and Michael Olsi, but they collided with the brilliance of Freiburg goalkeeper Noah Atopolo, before conceding two goals through Johan Manzambi in the 46th minute and Lucas Holler in the 71st minute.

Despite falling behind 2-0, Bayern came back strongly in the final minutes, as Tom Bischoff reduced the deficit with a rocket shot in the 81st minute, before the same player came back to equalize the score in the 90+2 minute.

In the 90+9th minute, Lennart snatched Karl the winning goal after a mass attack that raised objections from Freiburg's players, who considered that stoppage time was over.

The match ended amid great tension and multiple warnings, before the referee blew the final whistle at the 90+12th minute.

Bayern Munich took their tally to 73 points at the top of the Bundesliga to continue their steady path to the title and gain an important morale boost ahead of Tuesday's clash with Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at the Santiago Bernabéu.
