Mai Salim replaces Menna Fadali in "A Family That Works Business"
The series "A Family Works Works" witnessed a remarkable development during the past hours after the withdrawal of the Egyptian artist Menna Fadali from work and her return to Cairo, and the subsequent statements in which she criticized the conditions of production and filming in Syria. The work team responded collectively, denying that there were fundamental problems inside the filming location, and confirming that work would continue normally.
Artist Mohamed Tharwat denied that he withdrew from the series, stressing that filming is taking place as planned, and that what was reported about poor working conditions is inaccurate, and said that "people are working to the fullest," adding that what happened may be related to the difference in working conditions between Syria and Egypt, but stressed that the production team deals with professionalism and respect.
Artist Nazli Al-Rawas considered that professional disputes should not be raised publicly, stressing that any tension can be resolved by consensus, while artist Andre Skaf pointed out that the work atmosphere had already witnessed some tension before Fadali's departure, explaining that the team tried to convince her to stay and give time to address the dispute, but she insisted on traveling. "We wished that she would stay... In any situation, we should give our situation time before making any decision."
May Salim enters work
After Fadali's withdrawal, the actress Mai Salim took over the role, stressing that she does not know the details of the dispute, and that her relationship with Fadali is good on a personal and artistic level.
She added that she would thank her if she had nominated her for the role, and when asked about the allegations that men and women lived in the same room, she replied with a laugh: "That's a joke, right?"
For his part , the Labor Forum Mohamed Al-Sharif denied the validity of the rumors about gathering the actors in one room, stressing that this statement is not true, explaining that Fadali's withdrawal came after her request to return to Egypt to complete other engagements, which did not fit with the set filming plan.
Director Safwan Naamo explained that the nature of filming inside the old neighborhoods of Damascus does not allow the entry of caravans or cars, stressing the allocation of separate rooms for artists.
He added that the main reason for the tension was related to the lack of adherence to filming dates during the first two days, which led to friction before Fadali left.

Menna Fadali announced her withdrawal through a post on Facebook, accusing the director of treating her in an "disrespectful" manner, and pointing out that a common room was allocated for all participants despite her request for a separate room, and said that the director addressed her with the phrase: "I am the producer and I am the director, and if you like God, God is with you," stressing that this prompted her to leave. However, she later returned to clarify that the producer Mohamed Al-Sharif "was very sophisticated and tasteful," and that he had nothing to do with the dispute, expressing her respect for him and her desire to cooperate With him in the future.
The team continues to film the series in Damascus with the participation of Mohammed Tharwat and a number of Syrian artists, including Andre Skaf, Nazli Al-Rawas, Nahid Al-Halabi and Abeer Shams El-Din, as well as guests of honor from Egypt and Syria, amid assurances that the production plan continues unchanged.
