Led by Pulisic  The United States  announced the 2026  World Cup squad

The head coach of the United States of America, veteran Argentine Mauricio Pochettino, has officially announced the final and final list of the "Uncle Sam" battalion that will compete in the 2026 World Cup.

This list comes loaded with high hopes and record expectations from American fans, as the country hosts the finals on home soil and amid a joint organization that is the largest in the history of the game.

A balanced lineup led by Captain America

Pochettino relied on a combination of experience from Europe's top leagues with emerging MLS talent, and the official list of 26 players was as follows:

Goalkeepers: Chris Brady, Matt Freeze, Matt Turner.

Defenders: Max Arvenston, Sergino Dest, Alex Freeman, Mark McKenzie, Tim Ream, Chris Richards, Anthony Robinson, Miles Robinson, Joe Scully, Auston Trusty.

Midfielders: Tyler Adams, Sebastian Berhalter, Weston McKennie, Gio Reyna, Christian Roldan, Malik Tillman.

Forwards: Brendan Aaronson, Volarin Balogun, Ricardo Pepe, Christian Pulisic, Timothy Weah, Hadji Wright, Alejandro Zendijas.

AC Milan's Italian star, Christian Pulisic, stands at the top of the list as an inspirational leader and a key driver of the American attacking machine, alongside other names such as Weston McKinney and Gio Reyna, as well as a solid defensive wall led by veterans Tim Ream and Sergino Dest.

A historic version with a triple flavor

This edition of the 2026 World Cup is of exceptional and unprecedented importance, as it will be held for the first time with the participation of 48 teams instead of 32, and will be hosted by three countries together for the first time in the history of FIFA: the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico.

The  World Cup matches are scheduled to start on June 11, and the grinding competitions will continue for more than a month, and will conclude with the final match and the crowning of the most expensive title on July 19.

America's Road to the World Cup: Group D

The U.S. team, as one of the hosts and organization, came at the top of Group D in the World Cup draw. Pulisic's teammates will not be an easy task, as they will face diverse and strong football schools represented by the teams of Australia, Paraguay and the Turkish national team.

Pochettino, taking advantage of the ground and the crowd, seeks to forge a strong offensive identity that will ensure that America not only gets through the group stage, but also competes fiercely and reaches advanced roles befitting the growing sporting ambition in the United States.
