Colombia head coach Nestor Lorenzo has announced the official and final roster for the 2026 World Cup, which will be jointly organized in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The list witnessed a strong presence of experienced and youthful elements, led  by Bayern Munich's German star Luis Diaz and veteran captain James Rodriguez, and the names called up were as follows:

 

Details of the Colombia national team squad

Goalkeepers: Camilo Vargas, Alvaro Monteiro, David Ospina.

 Defenders: Daniel Muñoz, Davinson Sanchez, John Locomi, Johan Mujica, Wheeler Dita, Santiago Arias, Dever Machado, Yerry Mina.

Midfielders: Jefferson Lerma, John Arias, Jorge Carrascal, Juan Camilo Portilla, Richard Rios, Juan Fernando Quintero, Gustavo Puerta, Kevin Castaño, James Rodriguez, Jaminton Campaz.

Forwards: Luis Diaz, Luis Suarez, Juan Camilo Hernandez, Carlos Andrés Gomez.

 

A balanced group in the first round

It is noteworthy that the draw placed the Colombian team in Group (11) of the 2026 World Cup, where it will compete for the two tickets to qualify for the next round with the teams of Portugal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Uzbekistan.
