On Monday,  June 1, the Israeli occupation army stormed  the campus of Al-Quds University in the town of Abu Dis, southeast of the occupied city, causing a state of terror and intimidation among students and employees.

The Jerusalem Governorate said in a statement that military vehicles infiltrated the university, where the soldiers disembarked and conducted field investigations of detention with a number of students before they withdrew.

This coincided with the arrest of a Palestinian woman at the entrance to the town of Issawiya, and 4 young men at the Al-Zaim checkpoint, amid the tightening of military measures on the town of Hizma.

Blurring of identity and Judaization of Al-Aqsa

The spokesman of the Jerusalem Governorate, Maarouf Al-Rifai, warned of the danger of the escalation of Judaization measures in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the occupation authorities' permission to allow settlers to raise Israeli flags and perform racist Talmudic rituals inside the courtyards comes in the context of imposing a new reality and completely undermining the powers of Islamic endowments.

These warnings came after hundreds of extremist settlers stormed the mosque from the direction of the Maghreb Gate to the Dome of the Rock under heavy protection from the occupation police.

In this context,  the Israeli occupying forces closed most of the main and secondary entrances to Hebron governorate with earthen berms and iron gates, causing a suffocating traffic crisis and forcing citizens and students to travel long distances on foot.

The forces raided several neighborhoods in the city and arrested four citizens, in addition to raiding the house of the martyr Amjad Al-Natsheh, who was shot dead by the occupation on Sunday.

In a related context, the occupation forces raided the new Askar camp, east of Nablus, and the towns of Ya'bad and Al-Zababdeh in Jenin, amid the firing of stun grenades and the search of houses, while five citizens from the towns of Al-Sila Al-Harithiyya and Al-Yamoun were arrested, including a blind citizen.

Settlement incursions and new outposts

The Anti-Wall and Settlement Commission revealed an upcoming Israeli plan that will be discussed by the Supreme Planning Council on Wednesday, June 3, with the aim of building 2,721 new settlement units to expand the urban and legal influence of the settlements in Bethlehem, Nablus, Jenin and Hebron.

In the same context, settlers established a new colonial pastoral outpost near the town of Al-Auja, north of Jericho, after carrying out extensive bulldozing works, raising the number of outposts in the area to 7 outposts aimed at controlling the lands of the Jordan Valley and displacing its residents, while Ziad Sultan, a citizen in the town of Jaba, north of Jerusalem, handed over a final notice of demolition of his house and commercial operator on Monday.

Increasing human casualties

Data from the Palestinian government media office showed the extent of human losses in the West Bank since the start of the war of extermination in October 2023, as the escalation resulted  in the death of  1,168 Palestinians, the injury of 12,666 others, and the arrest of about 23,000 citizens.

In Gaza, medical sources announced on Monday that the total toll of the ongoing aggression since October 7, 2023, has risen to 72,941 dead and 172,967 injured.

The sources indicated that the past 24 hours recorded two martyrs and 40 injuries, raising the toll since the announcement of the last ceasefire on October 11  to 932 dead, while thousands of victims are still missing under the rubble as rescue crews were unable to reach them.
