The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 10 people, including children and women, were killed as a result of a violent airstrike launched by Israeli warplanes last night and targeted the town of Deir Qanun al-Nahr in the district of Tyre in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli army issued an urgent warning at one o'clock in the morning to the residents of a building in the town of Al-Ma'shouq in the district of Tyre, asking them to stay away from 300 meters, before carrying out its threat to bombard the building with two missiles and destroy it almost completely.
Detention of bodies and field incursions into border areas
Lebanese field information revealed a tragic scene that continues in the southern depths, where the Lebanese Red Cross crews, in coordination with the Lebanese Army, are still waiting for the permission of the international "mechanism" committee to enter the areas of Zotar, Yahmar and Mifadoun to retrieve the bodies of 13 dead, without getting the green light from the Israeli side until now. Security reports spoke of the monitoring of ground incursions by the occupation army, accompanied by The abduction of Lebanese citizens in the areas of Rashaya Al-Wadi and the border town of Al-Mari, in conjunction with the intensive and continuous flight of Israeli drones in the airspace of the south and Mount Lebanon to the capital Beirut.
Hezbollah's response
Hezbollah announced on Wednesday that its fighters had engaged in fierce clashes with appropriate weapons with an Israeli force that tried to advance towards the vicinity of the southern town of Hadassah.
In a statement, the party confirmed the implementation of 11 tactical attacks with drones and missiles targeting the occupation communities and vehicles in southern Lebanon and northern occupied Palestine in response to the ongoing bloody violations of the ceasefire.
The official Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation, quoting the Israeli army's estimates, acknowledged that the threat of booby-trapped drones and the loss of human lives among soldiers limit 80% of the freedom of action and movement of the occupation forces in southern Lebanon, forcing the military leadership to cancel many daytime operations for fear of resistance strikes.
Diplomatic Path Faltering and Internal Political Discord
Politically, diplomatic sources in Beirut pointed out that Lebanon continues to rely on American pressure to push Tel Aviv to abide by the 45-day truce without achieving tangible results, as President Joseph Aoun entrusted Lebanon's ambassador in Washington with activating communication with the US State Department following the return of the head of the Lebanese delegation, Simon Karam, to the country.
The Lebanese sources stressed that the indicators on the ground prove that Israel does not recognize the truce politically or militarily, amid fears of the outbreak of a silent internal problem due to the insistence on the inclusion of the military in direct negotiations on the arrangements for its role in the south during the joint security meeting scheduled to be held on January 29, without Lebanon achieving any significant gains after three negotiation sessions under fire.
