On Tuesday, the Israeli occupation army issued urgent military warnings that the residents of 12 towns and villages in southern Lebanon must be immediately evacuated, and that they should be kept away from them for a distance of at least 1000 meters towards open areas.
The forced eviction orders included the towns of Tura, Nabatieh Al-Tahta, Haboush, Al-Bazouriyya, Tayr Dibba, Kafr Houna, Ain Qana, Labaya, Jabshit, Al-Shehabiya, Al-Burj Al-Shamali and Houmin Al-Fawqa
The Lebanese sources indicated that these orders coincided with a sudden night warning that targeted a residential building in the town of Al-Ma'shouq in the district of Tyre, where the Israeli fighter jets immediately carried out their threat by completely destroying the building with two military missiles a few minutes after the expiry of the deadline given to the residents.
Dead and Bodies Held
Israeli airstrikes and continuous artillery shelling have raised the death toll among Lebanese civilians, as a shelling of a house in the town of Kafrsir in the Nabatieh district resulted in the death of 4 people and the serious wounding of two others, according to data from the National News Agency.
The agency indicated that rescue teams were able to recover the body of a dead person from under the rubble in the town of Qana while the search for missing persons continues.
The Lebanese sources pointed out that an Israeli drone targeted a car belonging to the municipality of Haruf, which led to the death of the citizen Nasser Ibrahim Nasr as a result of his injuries, and the injury of municipality member Jaafar al-Shami while they were preparing to distribute bread to the steadfast residents.
In the same context, the Israeli occupation aircraft prevented the Lebanese Red Cross and army crews from entering the areas of Zuter, Yahmar, and Mifadin to retrieve the bodies of 13 people killed in the shelling, as the medics are waiting for the approval and regulation of the international "Mechanism Committee" in vain due to the occupation's refusal to give the green light until now.
Israel seized 1,000 km of territory
The occupation army expanded its attacks to the towns of Deir Al-Zahrani, Froon and the vicinity of Rashaya Al-Fakhar in the Hasbaya district, in addition to targeted strikes on the vicinity of the city of Baalbek in the Bekaa in eastern Lebanon, and the area of Tebnin and Majdal Salam via drones.
In response to the attacks, Hezbollah launched 11 rocket attacks and squadrons of swarms of swarming drones targeting military sites and concentrations of Israeli vehicles, including the Ras al-Naqoura naval site, in response to what it described as the ongoing bloody violations. On the other hand, the official Hebrew Broadcasting Corporation acknowledges that Hezbollah's attacks with swooping drones have limited the IDF's freedom of action in southern Lebanon by 80% and deprived it of the advantage of movement during the day.
In this context, the British newspaper "Financial Times" revealed that Israel has seized about 1,000 square kilometers of land in southern Lebanon, Gaza and Syria since October 2023.
