Israel kills 3 Palestinians in Gaza and deports activists from the Resistance Flotilla

Three Palestinians were killed and 4 others were injured on Sunday, May 10, in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, Anadolu Agency reported.

The Gaza Police announced the death of the director of the Khan Yunis Police Investigations, Wissam Fayez Abdel Hadi, following an Israeli raid that targeted his vehicle in the Al-Amal neighborhood, west of Khan Younis.

Earlier, a medical source reported that one dead and two wounded arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, after an Israeli drone targeted a group of citizens in the Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, in addition to the injury of two fishermen by Israeli naval bullets while they were working.

Former UN official: Israel wants to "erase" Palestinians

Former UN rapporteur Michael Lynk said that the Israeli government seeks to "wipe out Palestinians, including Christians", warning of an escalation of attacks against Palestinian Christian communities.

In an interview with Anadolu on Saturday, May 9, Link explained that the targeting of Christians is linked to being Palestinians first, noting that the investigation into the attack on a nun in Jerusalem began only after international pressure.

This year, Israel banned the establishment of a Christian ritual in Jerusalem for the first time in centuries, and closed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and the Al-Aqsa Mosque for 40 days since February 28, Link said, stressing that the attacks are carried out with the support of "Christian Zionist" groups in Europe and North America, to push Palestinian Christians to migrate through harsh living conditions.

Ongoing Violations Without Any UN Oversight

The UN official stressed that Israeli settlements are a violation of international law and constitute a war crime, as the international community has not implemented any UN resolution on them, despite the increasing messages of solidarity with Palestinians around the world, indicating that the settlers are achieving economic gains from the settlements by entering the markets of Europe and North America.

On April 29, Israeli police announced the arrest of a 36-year-old Israeli man after he assaulted a French nun in East Jerusalem, after ignoring similar incidents in the past, and the Israeli Ministry of Justice said it had referred the accused to justice.

Israel deports activists from the Al-Sumuda Flotilla

On Sunday, May 10, the Israeli authorities deported Global Resilience Flotilla activists Tiago Avila and Saif Abu Keshk, days after they were arrested and tortured during an attempt to break the siege on the Gaza Strip.

The Tel Aviv authorities did not disclose the destination to which the activists were deported, but human rights organizations confirmed that they had received a report from the occupation intelligence of their intention to release the activists in preparation for their deportation outside occupied Palestine.

Brazilian activist Ávila lost his mother during his detention in Israel, which refused to release him to participate in her farewell.

Many activists came out in countries around the world to demand the release of Avila and Abu Keshk, who remained in the occupation prisons, among the activists who were arrested and brutally tortured by the occupation.
