Israel kills 19 Palestinians in 48 hours in Gaza

Last night and at dawn on Sunday, July 19, the occupation forces continued to escalate their air and artillery raids on various areas of the Gaza Strip, in their latest ongoing violations of the ceasefire agreement, which resulted in the death and injury of dozens of Palestinians, in conjunction with land and sea military movements and the destruction of entire residential squares.

Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that the bodies of three dead people arrived at the Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza City as a result of the artillery shelling that targeted Kishko Street in the Zaytoun neighborhood.

In the Central Governorate, warplanes launched a violent raid that destroyed an entire residential square in Harat al-Laham, south of the city of Deir al-Balah, destroying houses belonging to the families of Ali, Khaled, Saeed and Salim al-Laham, without registering any casualties due to the area receiving prior evacuation orders.

The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip revealed in its updated report that 19 Palestinians were killed and 60 others were injured who arrived at hospitals in the Gaza Strip during the past 48 hours, stressing that the death toll since the beginning of the occupation's violations of the ceasefire on October 11 has risen to record 1,144 dead and 3,703 injured, thus raising the total toll of the ongoing aggression since October 7, 2023, to 73,269 dead and 173,811 injured.

Widespread destruction of cemeteries

The Director General of the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs in the Gaza Strip, Amir Abu Al-Amreen, warned of a suffocating and unprecedented crisis facing burial grounds in various governorates, revealing that the occupation planes and vehicles targeted 56 cemeteries in the Gaza Strip.

Abu Al-Amreen said: 41 cemeteries were completely destroyed, including the bulldozing and excavation of graves, and 15 cemeteries were partially destroyed, with a value of material losses of $16 million, explaining that the ministry has allocated a piece of land with an area of 15 dunums in Deir al-Balah, and another with an area of 25 dunums in Gaza governorate to establish new cemeteries as an emergency solution to the crisis.

On the field level, a helicopter targeted a residential apartment in the Al-Haramain building in the Beach Camp in western Gaza, which led to the injury of three citizens and the outbreak of a large fire, while military vehicles and bulldozers continued their heavy movements near the Dawla roundabout in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood amid the low flight of helicopters and the firing of flares in the atmosphere of Al-Daraj neighborhood, and the fireballs hit the Zarqa area in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood.

The shelling extended to the northeast of the Gaza Strip, where the east of Jabalia camp witnessed the movements of military vehicles accompanied by gunfire, while the "Quad Captain" planes dropped bombs near the Great Mosque in Al-Bureij camp, and a young man was wounded by the occupation bullets near Wadi Abu Rashid, east of Al-Maghazi camp.

In the northwest of the Gaza Strip, warships fired several shells towards the Sudanese Sea, coinciding with the blowing up and blowing up of residential buildings carried out by the occupation army north of the city of Rafah, and intermittent artillery shelling east of Khan Younis, which resulted in the injury of a citizen east of "Hamad City".

Burning of a mosque in Masafer Yatta and a massive arrest campaign in the West Bank

Local sources in the occupied West Bank reported that settlers from the colonial outpost "Hafat Ma'on" attacked the village of "Al-Tawaneh" in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, last night, and set fire to two houses belonging to the citizens Kamal and Mahmoud Rabi'i, in addition to setting fire to the village mosque, which caused severe damage to civilians and Islamic holy sites under the protection of the occupation forces.

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned this crime, describing the burning of the mosque as a full-fledged terrorist act aimed at turning the conflict into a religious war and the displacement of the population, and held the occupation government fully responsible, and issued an urgent appeal to the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to provide immediate international protection.

In the Nablus district, four citizens were injured as a result of settlers' attacks on them and their homes in the "Al-Dhahra" area in the town of Beita, raising the rates of settler attacks in the West Bank during the first half of this year to 3,488 attacks, which caused the death of 17 citizens.

In the field context, the occupation forces launched a campaign of raids and arrests on Sunday morning, which resulted in the arrest of two young men, Bilal Abu Zeid and Ahmed Abu Judee, after searching their homes in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, and arrested three young men from the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, days after storming the town, which resulted in the death of a 17-year-old boy who was shot in the thigh by the occupation forces.
