Iran's National Security Council declares victory, confirms: "Our hand is on the trigger"

Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has declared victory over "the enemy during the 40-day war," according to a statement published after Trump's announcement of the truce.
"The honorable Iranian people should know that with the blessing of the jihad of their sons and their historic presence in the field, the enemy has been begging for more than a month to stop Iran's fire and violent resistance, but the country's officials, due to a decision taken from the beginning to continue the war until the achievement of the goals, including pushing the enemy into regret and despair and removing the long-term threat from the country, rejected all these requests, and the war continued until today, which is the fortieth day," the council's statement said.
"Iran has so far rejected several times the deadlines provided by the President of the United States and consistently emphasizes that it does not attach any importance to any kind of deadlines set by the enemy," the statement added.
"Most of the goals of the war have almost been achieved, and your brave sons have pushed the enemy to a historic deficit and permanent defeat and the imposition of new security and political equations in the region based on the recognition of the strength and sovereignty of Iran and the axis of resistance," he said.
"It was decided to hold negotiations in Islamabad to finalize the details, provided that within a maximum period of 15 days, Iran's victory on the ground will also be confirmed politically through negotiations," he said.
He pointed out that "the council prepared a 10-point plan and submitted it to the US side through Pakistan, stressing key points, including: the orderly crossing through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the Iranian armed forces, which gives Iran a free economic and geopolitical position, and the need to end the war against all components of the axis of resistance," referring to the Lebanese and Yemeni fronts.
"This means a historic defeat of the aggression of the Israeli entity; the withdrawal of US combat forces from all their bases and deployment sites in the region; the establishment of a protocol for safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz that guarantees Iran's control in accordance with the agreement; the payment of full compensation to Iran according to estimates; the lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions and the decisions of the Governing and Security Councils; and the release of all Iranian funds and assets frozen abroad," the statement continued.
All of these items must be issued in a binding resolution issued by the Security Council.
According to the Council, the Prime Minister of Pakistan informed Iran that the American side, despite its apparent threats, had accepted these principles as a basis for negotiations and had submitted to the will of the Iranian people.
He announced that Iran will enter into negotiations with the American side in Islamabad for two weeks, on the basis of these principles only, stressing that this does not mean the end of the war, as Iran will not accept to end it until the details of these principles are completed in the final negotiations.
He pointed out that the negotiations will begin with a complete lack of trust in the American side, in Islamabad, and Iran has allocated a period of two weeks for it, which can be extended by the agreement of the two parties, and concluded, "Our hands are on the trigger, and any small mistake by the enemy will face a decisive and strong response."
